August Snow….
Well I knew this week was going to be cooler, but I was a little surprised when I saw the National Weather Service forecast this morning…
“Snow showers before 11am, then rain showers.Some thunder is also possible”

Its good to see that there would be little or no accumulation, kind of hard for snow to stick to 75 degree pavement…

A few weeks back (Jan 20), the Virginia Beach Schools make the decision to close the schools, because of the forecast of a potential 4 to 6 inches of snow during the day. Virginia Beach Schools made the right decision, based on the information they had, it didn’t snow except for some flurries, and all the hindsight forecasters criticized the schools for closing, the same people that would have criticized the schools had they opened and we got the 4 to 6 inches of snow.
So today Presidents day, the make up day for the snow day, we wake up to the following scene…
