NICE WEATHER BEGINS OUR WORK WEEK… THUNDERSTORMS ARE A POSSIBILITY AS WE HEAD TOWARDS MID TO LATE WEEK
Some areas not far away from Hampton Roads picked up quite a bit of rainfall over this past weekend. Parts of the Eastern Shore had upwards of three inches of rain! As of 8:00 PM Sunday evening, no significant rainfall fell in my VA Beach neighborhood. However, at the time of this writing, there are a few intense storms scattered around, some to our north and some to our south. Some have reached severe levels. High pressure builds in on Monday so this should suppress any convection, although an isolated shower or storm cannot be ruled out. Temperatures will be quite pleasant Monday and Tuesday. As we head towards Wednesday, things get a bit iffy as a series of disturbances may bring the chance of showers or thunderstorms.
** In the event of severe weather in you area, please consult the official National Weather Service forecast office for any severe weather watches or warnings in your area at Weather.gov.
