THIS WEEKEND WILL FEATURE NEAR SEASONAL TEMPERATURES AND AN INCREASING CHANCE OF SHOWERS… NEXT WEEK LOOKS NICE WITH A SLOW WARMING TREND

After the unseasonably warm weather that we’ve seen the past few days, we’re in for a period of rather seasonable temperatures for a change. A cold front and a weak low pressure area are slowly approaching the Hampton Roads area. Saturday should be nice with some cloudiness and only a slight chance of a shower. As the front approaches and a coastal trough develops overnight, there may be a shower or two overnight, but the highest chances of rain will be to our south and east. Sunday probably won’t be too bad, but there will be a chance of a shower or thunderstorm. According to the NWS, severe weather isn’t likely on Sunday, but any storm could have a brief downpour and gusty winds. Once the frontal system moves offshore on Monday, cooler air moves into the region. Another upper-level disturbance may bring a shower on Monday, but it’s not expected to widespread or heavy. Then, we’re in for another period of mainly dry weather with a slow warming trend.

That’s it for now. Enjoy the weekend!
