WARMER TEMPERATURES THIS WEEKEND WILL BE FOLLOWED BY A RATHER UNSETTLED WEATHER PATTERN BEGINNING EARLY NEXT WEEK… TEMPERATURES TURN COOLER ON MONDAY

A southwesterly wind this weekend will transport warmer air into the Hampton Roads region this weekend. There will be some cloudiness at times, but overall, it will be a really nice weekend for this time of year. A weak low pressure system passing to our north on Sunday may bring a chance of a shower late Sunday or Sunday night, especially in areas north of Hampton Roads. Monday should be a cooler day as our winds turn out of the north behind a cold front. Rain chances begin to increase Monday night and Tuesday as a series of low pressure systems move eastward. Temperatures next week should be warm enough here in Hampton Roads, so that we should not have to worry about snow or ice. However, areas well to our north and west such as the Virginia Piedmont area need to pay close attention to the forecast as there could be some snow or mixed precipitation during one of these precipitation events. So, enjoy the weather this weekend. Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!
