TEMPERATURES THIS WEEKEND HERE IN HAMPTON ROADS WILL BE ABOVE NORMAL, ESPECIALLY ON SUNDAY… RAIN IS LIKELY SATURDAY NIGHT… MUCH COLDER WEATHER IS LIKELY NEXT WEEK

It’s been quite a while since we saw a full day of sunny skies here in Hampton Roads. Although we will see some sunshine today (Saturday) clouds should dominate the skies. It will be on the mild side today. Rain chances ramp up this evening as a warm front approaches the area. We should have a rather rainy night tonight but the rain should end early on Sunday. A cold front will sweep off the coastline and behind it, skies should clear allowing for some sunshine on Sunday. Temperatures will remain mild on Sunday, but colder air will move in for the start of the workweek.  As it looks right now, no significant precipitation is expected this upcoming week once we get past this weekend. Temperatures may really drop below normal during the middle of the week… You’ve probably seen it on the news but the El Nino has finally helped to bring much needed precipitation to California of the past several days. The drought in parts of California has been so severe that it will take much more rain and snow to alleviate their drought. However, some drought relief is expected. That’s it for now. Thanks for reading and have a nice weekend!
