RAIN IS LIKELY SUNDAY NIGHT INTO MONDAY… THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE LATER MONDAY

Overall, the weather this weekend should be decent, although a shower cannot be ruled out. Saturday is expected to be the warmer of the two days. An easterly flow off the ocean will bring cooler air into the region on Sunday. The next significant weather event is expected to arrive Sunday night as a warm front is expected to bring rain/showers into the Hampton Roads region. The wet weather should last into Monday morning. On Monday, the rain will depart, but with increasing sunshine, atmospheric instability is expected to increase possibly resulting in thunderstorm development. A severe thunderstorm is possible Monday afternoon or evening in parts of the area so make sure you monitor the local media and the National Weather Service Monday afternoon. Then, a cold front should push the moisture offshore bringing some nice weather as we head towards the middle of next week. You’ve probably heard about the stormy weather out west the past few days. There was heavy snow in parts of the Rocky Mountain states, flooding in Texas and other parts of the Gulf States, and there was severe weather in parts of the Southern Plains states. An upper-level low pressure area has been responsible for the bad weather out there. Back home, we have no weather issues until later Sunday. Enjoy your weekend and thanks for reading!
