AFTER A WARM AND BREEZY TUESDAY, COOLER WEATHER MOVES BACK INTO HAMPTON ROADS… THE ROLLER COASTER RIDE IN TEMPERATURES WILL CONTINUE AS ANOTHER WARM UP IS ON ITS WAY… A COLD FRONT MAY BRING US SHOWERS FRIDAY NIGHT AND EARLY SATURDAY FOLLOWED BY COOLER TEMPERATURES

A low pressure system slid by to our north on Tuesday bringing an early spring snowfall to portions of the Northeast. We here in Hampton Roads had a beautiful day (if you didn’t mind the gusty winds) with high temperatures in the low 70’s. A cold front associated with that low pressure system moved through overnight and we will see much cooler weather today. The cool down will be short-lived as our winds will swing around to the south again bringing up warmer air on Thursday. On Friday, it should even be warmer out ahead of a cold front that will be moving through the region late Friday night or early Saturday morning. The front will most likely be accompanied with some showers and possibly even a thunderstorm in some spots. The showers may linger into Saturday morning, but as of now, the timing, coverage, and intensity of the precipitation Friday night is not certain. Temperatures should return to more seasonal levels behind the cold front over the weekend. That’s it for now. Thanks for reading and have a great day!
