VERY COLD TEMPERATURES ARE LIKELY ON FRIDAY AND AGAIN LATER IN THE WEEKEND

There are going to be several very chilly air masses plunging into the eastern U.S. over the next week or so. What does this mean for us here in Hampton Roads? A strong cold front is going to move through our region Thursday afternoon. As it looks right now, behind the front, temperatures will plunge from around 50 degrees to the low 20’s by Friday morning! Gusty winds will make it feel even colder. It is possible that we may see a few snow flurries/showers but significant accumulations are not expected at this time. Then, we should have a brief warm up on Saturday (Valentine’s Day)¬†as the next cold front approaches. On Sunday, temperatures are expected to possibly be even colder than Friday’s temperatures! For those of you who don’t like the cold weather, the good news is that the average temperature has begun to climb and will continue to do so until later July. That’s it for now. Thanks for reading and have a great day!
