AFTER A DAMP START THIS SUNDAY MORNING, CONDITIONS SHOULD SLOWLY IMPROVE AS HIGH PRESSURE SLIDES BY TO OUR NORTH… WARMER TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED BY THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS

The system that brought the unsettled weather on Saturday is slow to move away this Sunday morning. An area of showers is approaching from the west and should move through Hampton Roads this morning. Improving conditions are expected later today, but clouds will be slow to clear out. The combination of clouds and the onshore flow will keep us on the cool side today. It looks like we will see more sunshine on Monday and temperatures are expected to peak out in the low 80’s. The high pressure area that is now to our north will move offshore by the middle of the week and the return flow will bring back warmer conditions. Humidity levels are expected to be on the high side again by Wednesday. A frontal system is expected to trigger showers and thunderstorms, but it’s a little too early to get into any details regarding timing, intensity, and coverage… The tropical Atlantic is currently quiet. That’s it for now. Have a great day!
