AFTER THE HEAVY RAINFALL ON FRIDAY IN PARTS OF HAMPTON ROADS, SKIES WILL CLEAR MAKING WAY FOR ANOTHER GREAT WEEKEND… TEMPERATURES AND HUMIDITY LEVELS WILL RISE AGAIN EARLY NEXT WEEK

The timing is absolutely amazing. A cooler and less humid air mass is moving into the Mid-Atlantic States just in time for the weekend thus extending the string of nice weekends here in Hampton Roads. A northerly breeze will take over today (Saturday) and you will notice the more comfortable conditions. Rain chances will be very low this weekend so outdoor plans should not be impacted by the weather… Over an inch and a half of much needed rain fell in my neighborhood Thursday and Friday. There was even some hail reported in parts of Hampton Roads late on Friday including my neighborhood. Since it is now the middle of June, you know that low humidity and pleasant temperatures cannot last that long. As the high pressure that is responsible for the nice weather moves offshore early next week, the clockwise flow around the high will bring a southerly flow into our region. This will bring back the humidity and the warmer temperatures. By the middle of next week, we may see an increased chance of isolated to scattered thunderstorms… The Tropical Atlantic remains quiet… Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there!
