A COLD FRONT DROPS TEMPERATURES ACROSS THE AREA… CLOUDS WILL INCREASE LATER MONDAY… RAIN/SHOWERS ARE POSSIBLE MONDAY NIGHT AND EARLY TUESDAY… WARM WEATHER SHOULD RETURN LATER IN THE WEEK

After a spectacular weekend, a cold front has dropped temperatures across the area and the front is expected to stall over southern N.C. Clouds are expected to increase today as moisture overruns the cooler air at the surface. A weak low pressure system may also develop along the front which could enhance the chance of showers Monday night and early Tuesday. The front is expected to return as a warm front. Later in the week, temperatures should return to above normal readings. Another cold front is expected to approach later in the week possibly bringing another chance of showers…. Note that the Climate Prediction Center is forecasting above normal rainfall for our part of the country next week (May 10-14).  That’s it for now. Have a great day!
