SPRING-LIKE WEATHER IS FINALLY HERE… DRY WEATHER SHOULD CONTINUE THROUGH MID-WEEK

For those of you who are tired of the chilly weather, I think you will be happy about the forecast for the next several days. The pattern has finally changed which will allow temperatures to actually be at or above normal. Saturday was cool due to a northeast wind off the water, which is still very cold. Areas along the water who don’t get to enjoy warm weather early in the spring benefit when we get into the summer, when a breeze off the water can offer relief from summer’s intense heat. It appears that our weather will be quiet for the next several days, so if you can, get outside and enjoy the great spring weather.

LOW PRESSURE AND ITS ASSOCIATED WET WEATHER MOVES AWAY JUST IN TIME FOR THE WEEKEND… A WARMING TREND IS ON THE WAY

Initially, weather forecasters thought that the bulk of the rain would occur today (Friday). However, the wet weather moved in much earlier than originally expected and rain overspread Hampton Roads Thursday evening. The low pressure system responsible for the wet weather will be moving northeast away from the area today so we will see slowly improving weather. Clearing will most likely be slow to occur due to low clouds wrapping around the backside of the departing storm system. Due to the clouds and the northerly wind, Friday’s high temperatures will stay below normal. High pressure will be building in for the weekend making for some real nice weather. Temperatures will be trending upwards as our winds swing around to a more southerly direction on Sunday. The mild temperatures should continue well into next week.
