MONDAY WILL BE THE WARMEST DAY FOR A WHILE… SHOWERS ASSOCIATED WITH A COLD FRONT SHOULD MOVE INTO HAMPTON ROADS MONDAY NIGHT… HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS INTO THE NORTHEAST LATER IN THE WEEK BRINGING US COOL AND DRY CONDITIONS

As the headline states, today (Monday) will be the warmest day for a while. As a high pressure system moves off the coast, the S-SE flow will bring warm and increasingly moist conditions to Hampton Roads. A cold front will slide across the region on Tuesday dropping temperatures to below seasonal levels. Showers are expected Monday night and Tuesday, especially early in the day on Tuesday. A cool northerly flow will set in for a few days making for a nice, but rather brisk, period of weather. I think it will be dry for the rest of the work week. The next chance of rain will be next weekend although weather forecasters aren’t sure about the weekend just yet.
