BIG CHANGES ARE ON THE WAY AS TEMPERATURES TAKE A PLUNGE… AFTER A WARM AND SUNNY SATURDAY, SUNDAY WILL BE COOL AND DAMP

A cold front will be moving through Hampton Roads Saturday night. The air behind this front is much cooler.┬áBelieve me, you will notice the change when you go outside on Sunday. Weather forecasters do not think that there will be any thunderstorms preceding the front. Most of the wet weather should occur behind the front on Sunday. It probably won’t rain a lot but there could be a little light rain or showers anytime on Sunday. A wave of low pressure is expected to develop along the front which is expected to stall south of the region. With the cloud cover and cool air behind the front, temperatures probably won’t rise much above the low 60’s on Sunday. This will be a huge change from Saturday’s highs which are expected to be in the low 80’s. Monday (Columbus Day) will be another cool day and there will still be chance of a shower or a little light rain but forecasters think that there will be less of a chance of rain. On Tuesday, we should be dry. The tropical Atlantic is quiet for now as hurricane season slowly winds down. I will have an update on Sunday.
