MOTHER’S DAY WILL BE SUNNY AND PLEASANT BUT RAIN SEEMS LIKELY OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS

Sunday (Mother’s Day) will be perfect for most outdoor activities. Temperatures should peak out near 80 in most places and there will be plenty of sunshine. However, a frontal system and a weak¬†area of low pressure to our west will slowly move eastward over the next few days bringing with it an increased chance of rain. There is a possibility that some areas receive a few heavy downpours. Moist southerly winds out ahead of this system will make for higher dew points which combined with upper-level energy may result in the heavy rain potential. Right now, it seems that Monday night and Tuesday will be the wettest period but there are differences in timing with the various computer models. Also, it is not certain how fast we will dry out as the system may be slow to depart causing some showers to possibly¬†linger into mid-week. So, enjoy the weather today and Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there!
