THE ACTIVE WEATHER PATTERN CONTINUES WITH A GOOD CHANCE OF SHOWERS ON SATURDAY AND COOLER WEATHER MOVES IN ON SUNDAY

This is just a brief post to update you on the latest weather here in Hampton Roads…. After a cloudy and cool Friday, Saturday is shaping up to be warm at first followed by some wet weather. A strong cold front associated with the strong low pressure system that brought severe weather to numerous areas. Deadly and damaging tornadoes plowed through several states this week bringing an early start to the 2012 tornado season… Rain occurred mostly to our north and west on Friday as a warm front approached the area. On Saturday, a cold front should bring showers and thunderstorms to the region. The rain will end from NW to SE on Saturday and it could be heavy at times.  Cooler weather will follow the frontal passage on Sunday and Monday with a chance of additional rain or showers as the front stalls just to our southeast…. This past winter season (Dec-Feb) has been ranked as the 4th warmest ever here in the Norfolk area. I’ll have a complete update on Sunday.
