THE LOW PRESSURE THAT BROUGHT MOSTLY RAIN TO HAMPTON ROADS MOVES OUT TO SEA… A WARMING TREND SETS IN THIS WEEK

The storm system that brought mostly rain to Hampton Roads is moving away and in its wake, we will see slowly improving conditions. The northerly winds that have been quite gusty overnight will be diminishing today and we should see some sunshine later on. About 1.5 inches of rain fell in my Virginia Beach backyard. The South-side didn’t have any accumulating snow. However, some minor snow¬†accumulation was reported just to our north and west. Central Va received more significant snowfall… After a chilly day on Monday, the weather this week will almost be springlike with temperatures expected to be in the 60’s Wednesday and Thursday. A couple of weak systems may bring us showers later in the week.¬† Thanks for reading and have a great day.
