CLOUDS INCREASE FRIDAY AFTERNOON WITH RAIN EXPECTED TO MOVE IN FRIDAY NIGHT… WEAK LOW PRESSURE QUICKLY MOVES OFF THE COAST SATURDAY MORNING… COLDER WEATHER IS ON ITS WAY FOR SATURDAY AND SUNDAY

A cold front is now (Friday evening) draped over the area with a weak low pressure system expected to develop on the front and move quickly eastward off the coast Saturday morning. Rain is expected to overspread most of the area this evening but it should be out of here Saturday morning. Rainfall amounts are expected to be around a third of an inch. Cooler air moves in for the weekend with temperatures not expected to get much above 50 degrees. Temperatures may stay in the 40’s for much of the afternoon on Saturday. Although it may seem quite cold on Saturday, temperatures will be only slightly below normal for this time of year. It has been quite mild this month unlike December of 2010, when it was much colder. Early next week, temperatures are expected to come up a bit and there may be some showers sometime during the mid-week period.

I’ll have an update on Sunday morning.
