THE WEATHER THIS WEEK SHOULD BE RATHER UNEVENTFUL… AFTER A CHILLY WEEKEND, A SLOW WARMING TREND WILL SET IN… NO SIGNIFICANT PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED FOR MOST OF THE UPCOMING WEEK

The weather across most of the nation is fairly quiet this Sunday morning. There is some shower activity expected from Florida westward to the Gulf Coast as the clockwise flow around a high pressure area centered over the Ohio Valley brings Atlantic and Gulf moisture inland. Some parts of drought stricken Texas will see beneficial rain from this weather pattern. That high pressure is going to bring us a dry period of weather that should last most of this week. There may be a shower later in the week when a cold front approaches, but forecasters do not believe that there will be any significant precipitation this week… Since 2011 has brought so many major weather events to various parts of the country, it’s nice to see this period of quiet weather. But keep in mind, it is December, and we all know that Old Man Winter will be making his presence known very soon. Have a great day and thanks for reading.
