THE FANTASTIC WEATHER CONTINUES THROUGH THE WEEKEND… ANOTHER HEATWAVE IS EXPECTED BY THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK… RAIN CHANCES REMAIN LOW THROUGH MONDAY

The weather here in Hampton Roads the past couple of days has been absolutely incredible considering that this is mid-July. Low humidity, abundant sunshine, a nice breeze made it great for sight seeing, working outdoors, etc, etc. How long can this last at this time of year? Well, although temperatures and humidity levels will be inching up over the weekend, it will not be that bad. The high pressure that has been responsible for the great weather will be moving offshore. This will set the stage for what could be a major heatwave for the Mid-Atlantic States next week. But before we get to that, let’s enjoy the weekend.

What about rain chances? The next several days look dry for the most part. We may see an isolated shower/storm on Tuesday.

Although humidity levels have been low, once we get to mid-summer, a wind off the water will tend to pick up more water vapor due to the higher water temperatures. That’s one of the main reasons why August is the most humid month on average.  See my weather fact on this subject.

That’s it for now. Have a great day and thanks for reading. I’ll have an update on Sunday.
