AFTER A BREEZY, MILD, AND INCREASINGLY WET SUNDAY, ANOTHER ARCTIC BLAST IS ON THE WAY

The low pressure area that moved up the coast late on Saturday brought around a half inch of rain to my neighborhood. Another much stronger low pressure system will be approaching the Northeastern states dragging a very strong cold front through our area. Showers will break out this afternoon (possibly heavy at times). Temperatures are mild ahead of this cold front. Then, colder air will rush in drying us out Sunday night and Monday. Tuesday looks to be very cold with temperatures struggling to rise above the freezing mark. The wind will make it feel even colder. Forecasters are watching a system for later this week but it is a little early to go into any real details. Precipitation is possible on Thursday but what form will it be in? Will the cold air stick around or will it move out before the precipitation arrives? Stay tuned on this one and monitor your local weather forecasts.
