A FRONTAL BOUNDARY BRINGS UNSETTLED WEATHER TO HAMPTON ROADS THROUGH MID-WEEK… TEMPERATURES SHOULD REMAIN ON THE COOL SIDE

For the second night in a row, thunderstorms moved through the region. Last night’s storms dropped 0.40 inches of rain in my backyard. Friday’s storms missed my neighborhood for the most part. Weak waves of low pressure are riding along the front which currently (Sunday morning) lies just south of our region. After a fairly decent Sunday, moisture is expected to increase Sunday night from SW to NE. This should cause rain or showers to overspread the region on Monday, and this wet weather may linger into Tuesday. It’s really a very difficult forecast to pinpoint the timing of the rainfall and also who will receive the most rainfall. Temperatures should be on the cool side through mid-week.
