A VERY WARM AND SUNNY WEEKEND IS ON TAP FOR HAMPTON ROADS… THE NEXT CHANCE OF RAIN IS LATE MONDAY… TEMPERATURES COOL DOWN A BIT BY MID-WEEK

A high pressure ridge will bring Hampton Roads a sunny and very warm weekend. Southwesterly winds will transport the warm air into the region and there is a very low chance of rain this weekend. A cold front will slowly approach the region on Monday bringing with it a chance of showers/storms. After the frontal passage, cooler air will move in on Tuesday and Wednesday. Note that the high pressure ridge is causing southwesterly winds in the Gulf of Mexico, which is bringing the oil slick closer to the Gulf Coast. Hopefully, they can stop the flow of oil and contain the oil before it causes too much damage to the environment. I’ll have an update on Sunday morning.
