RAIN IS ON THE WAY BUT WE SHOULD SEE A NICE SATURDAY… SUNDAY LOOKS WET BUT TEMPERATURES WILL BE ON THE MILD SIDE

A low pressure system in the Gulf Coast region will move northeastward over the weekend bringing a good chance of a significant rain event for Hampton Roads. The rain will most likely begin before dawn Sunday morning, but keep in mind, the models do not agree on the timing of this event. One model (GFS) is much faster with the rain. Either way, Sunday looks like a wet day and there may even be some thunder in the southeastern portions of the area. Temperatures will be on the mild side during this event so precipitation type will not be an issue.┬áThe rain should end later┬áSunday as the low pulls away… I hope that you had a chance to get out and enjoy the milder temperatures on Friday. The prolonged cold spell had us all bundling up and many of us spent as little time outdoors as possible. Saturday will be cooler near the water as our winds will be onshore, which hasn’t been the case in quite a while. I’ll have an update on Sunday morning.
