SUNDAY LOOKS TO BE A CLOUDY AND COOLER DAY WITH SHOWERS POSSIBLE… IMPROVING WEATHER SEEMS LIKELY FOR MONDAY

The weathermap is quite unusual for early July and because of that, the exact forecast is a challenging one for forecasters. A frontal system will be moving into the Mid-Atlantic States on Sunday which will cause cloudy conditions with cooler temperatures. A low pressure area will track along the front and this should produce some showers across most of the region through Sunday night. The challenging part of the forecast is who receives the most rain and what will the temperatures be. Some areas may see some heavy amounts of rain but that all depends on the exact location of the front. Some areas (including my neighborhood) could use a good soaking so I’m hoping we pick up some good rainfall today. One thing is certain. This will not be a beach day. The system moves offshore on Monday but there could be a lingering shower in the AM. I’ll have an update Monday morning which will include a discussion of the upcoming week’s weather forecast.
