THE RAIN SLOWLY MOVES AWAY ON MONDAY… MONDAY NIGHT WILL BE VERY CHILLY FOR THE MIDDLE OF MAY… TEMPERATURES SLOWLY MODERATE AS WE HEAD INTO THE MID-WEEK PERIOD

The frontal system that brought all the rain on Sunday and early Monday will move well offshore making way for a decent week overall. It will start out quite chilly for the middle of May, but by mid-week, temperatures will be on the rebound to more seasonal levels. It’s still raining as I write this so I will have to issue an update on the total rainfall here in my backyard from this frontal system. One thing to watch later this week is a low pressure system that is expected to develop near Florida. This low will bring drought relief to the Florida penninsula and it will also bring some strong winds. Will it attain tropical characteristics? It’s hard to say right now, but either way, it could be quite a storm. Will it affect our region eventually? That’s another tough question which will have to be dealt with later this week.
