CLOUDS DOMINATE THIS WEEKEND… SOME RAIN IS LIKELY ON SUNDAY… WE DRY OUT ON MONDAY

A stalled frontal boundary to our south combined with waves of low pressure moving along it will make for a cloudy weekend for the most part. Some peaks of sun are possible. On Saturday, the rain should stay south of us as the first in a series of waves of low pressure moves offshore. Another low pressure area will track further north and should bring us rain on Sunday. How much rain is questionable. Models indicate that most of the heavier rain will fall south of Hampton Roads. However, just a slight shift to the north, and we could receive a period of steadier rain on Sunday. The winds will be off the Atlantic so it will feel quite cool and increasingly damp. On Monday, we dry out. Note that models are hinting at a coastal storm for next weekend. I’ll have an update on Sunday.
