THE COOL WEATHER WILL BE GONE BY THE WEEKEND… A STORM SYSTEM FROM THE WEST MAY AFFECT THE MID-ATLANTIC STATES BRINGING A CHANCE OF SHOWERS… COLDER WEATHER SEEMS LIKELY NEXT WEEK

A cool high pressure area has moved into the region and will control our weather through Thursday. A low pressure system from the center of the nation combined with moisture moving up from the tropics should bring us some shower activity over the weekend. Temperatures will slowly moderate as we head towards the weekend. Friday will be a transitional day with clouds increasing. By Saturday, we should see some showers and there may even be a little thunder, too. How much rain we receive depends on how much tropical moisture that this system can tap. A steady rain may even occur if everything comes together. After the low moves out on Sunday, we should dry out. A chilly airmass may arrive some time next week.
